Midnight Memory

Circuit Fest was held last May 25 at Circuit Makati which lasted until midnight

Circuit Fest is a music and skate festival consisting of 9 artists (8 of which are bands) and skaters Willy Santos and Riley Hawk. This festival was joined by A+ Dropouts, Before You Exit, Allstar Weekend, The Downtown Fiction, This Century, We Are The In Crowd, Mayday Parade and headlined by Yellowcard. Megan Nicole was also featured here.

I remember finding out about this concert festival -- we were just on our trip back to Calapan from our YES-O Camp at Baguio and, thank God for available wifi, I checked my Twitter for some announcements by MMI. I swear I did nothing but freak out. If it weren't for the other passengers around, I would've jumped and screamed all over the place.

First thing I did as I stepped inside our house was to ask my parents if there's any possibility they're going to allow me to go to this concert. Without hearing out any of my explanation, they turned me down.

Mayday Parade is the first ever band I listened to. This may seem too foolish to understand but they are practically my heroes. It really bummed me out for not being able to go to their solo concert and Bazooka Rocks Festival (in which they were a part of).

Days passed by so fast but no day passed without me asking my parents to change their minds. It was May 23 when they said the magical word I've been meaning to hear for weeks - "YES". That was the moment I proved that good things really come to those who wait (and has strong willpower and skilled to annoy parents).

mosh pit tix for me and my cousin

you can never have too many bracelets

The truth is, professional cameras weren't allowed inside the venue so I just hope no one's gonna put me in prison for using my dslr to take more than a thousand of photos (I'm not even exaggerating). There were three bands -- A+ Dropouts, Allstar Weekend and The Downtown Fiction, which I haven't really heard of until the concert. But it didn't really matter because I just had the best time of my life. It may seem that I just don't make sense when I say that music -- Mayday Parade's music, has always been there for me. Always. And being able to hear these songs live and watch these guys prove that magic is true is just amazing. The word 'amazing' doesn't even give justice to how perfect the whole moment was. Everyone was singing along, everyone was jumping, and everyone was surely having a great time. Even just for a night, we tried to forget our worries and fears, we were just there shouting the songs of our lives.

I swear Derek and I had an eye contact for a split second.

This is a midnight memory I will never dare to forget.

Hello, this is not Angel but I swear it really is.
